Crimebuster

PKE 807 M is a Bristol VRT (Vertical Rear Transverse) with bodywork by Eastern Coachworks based in Lowestoft. She is built on the SL2 chassis (Short Low- version 2) and has the legendary Gardner 6LW engine. Many of these engines from scrapped buses are still performing sterling work in India as waterpumps, running 24 hours a day in climatic extremes with little or no maintenance.

Crimebuster was new to Maidstone and District in 1974, and she is only one of 3 of the original batch of 10 still in service.
